Handstand Practice and Strength Training
Fyra Yoga provides dedicated handstand practice classes designed to help students build strength, stability, and confidence in inversions. Each session is structured to specifically assist students with their own development regardless of their experience with handstands. Each session will provide the building blocks necessary to help students safely develop and move towards a handstand using tools such as drills, wall-supported versions, and assisted kickups based on individual ability and the progression they are working towards. At Fyra Yoga, the practice of handstands is more about developing body awareness, patience and a focused mind than simply being able to turn upside down.
Throughout your classes at Fyra Yoga students will be coached to develop the necessary skills to continue their progress towards the desired outcome with specific functional conditioning exercises that incorporate mindful breathing to reduce the likelihood of injury. Students should expect to be challenged, but will also be encouraged to explore their limits, work through fears, and be proud of all of their accomplishments, however small. Fyra Yoga is an incredible community that provides a safe and supportive environment in which to improve your handstand experience through your training will empower you with greater strength, clarity and self-confidence.
