Mir Qurram Ali: Youth Leader, Advocate, and Voice of Telangana’s Student Movement
Hyderabad, Telangana — Advocate Mir Qurram Ali has steadily risen as a dynamic youth leader, social activist, and lawyer, representing the spirit of student politics and grassroots justice in Telangana. From his early teenage years in the historic Charminar area to his present role as an advocate at the Telangana High Court, Qurram Ali has dedicated his life to empowering students, protecting minority rights, and strengthening community welfare.
Early Life and Background
Born on January 8, 1998, in Hyderabad, Qurram Ali grew up in a family committed to knowledge and service. His father, Mir Zulfequar Ali, is a respected journalist, while his mother, Sakina Fatima, is a homemaker. Inspired by his family and guided by his uncle Mir Inayath Ali Baqri (former SETWIN Chairman and BRS leader), Qurram entered student politics at the young age of 12.
Political Journey
Qurram Ali’s activism began with his involvement in the Telangana statehood movement, where he participated in rallies, student marches, and awareness drives. Today, he serves as the GHMC Coordinator of the BRS Students Wing, making him one of the prominent youth faces of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). His campaigns have focused on:
-
Scholarships and job opportunities for students
-
Minority welfare programs
-
Educational reforms, especially for Urdu-medium students
-
Youth empowerment and representation
Despite being arrested during peaceful protests, Qurram Ali continues to emphasize democratic activism, famously stating: “No force can silence the voice of the youth.”
Legal Career and Social Service
Alongside politics, Qurram Ali has built a career in law. As a practicing advocate at the Telangana High Court, he takes on pro bono cases for marginalized groups and provides legal aid to those who cannot afford representation. Through his role as President of the Society for Civil Legal Aid, he organizes free legal aid drives, awareness workshops, and educational support programs, enabling over 1,000 students to complete their education through platforms like NIOS and TOSS.
National Leadership Roles
Qurram’s influence goes beyond Hyderabad, with leadership positions in multiple national organizations:
-
National President, Vidyarthi Seva Dal
-
Youth President, Informal Labour Welfare Federation (ILWF)
-
National Youth President, Bhartiya Muslim Leaders Conference
-
President (Kul Hind), Yaseen-e-Alvin (All India Shia Association)
-
President, BRS Welfare Federation
His approach is deeply grassroots — often summarized in his phrase “from galli to Delhi” — as he connects directly with students, youth activists, and workers across India.
Digital Influence and Education
With a growing base of followers on Instagram and Facebook (@advocate_qurram_ali), Qurram Ali uses social media to raise awareness, share legal advice, and mobilize support for social causes.
He is currently pursuing his LLM from Mansarovar Global University, having earlier completed BA LLB from Manav Global University, Bhopal, and B.Com from Acharya Nagarjuna University. This academic foundation strengthens his dual role as both an advocate in court and a leader among the youth.
Vision
Mir Qurram Ali’s journey reflects the voice of modern Telangana — fearless, informed, and determined. Whether through his legal practice, student leadership, or community service, he continues to stand for justice and opportunity. His personal motto defines his mission clearly:
“I fight for students, I fight for justice, I fight for Telangana.”
