Lucknow Airport to Extend Runway for International Long-Haul Flights

In a significant development for North India’s aviation infrastructure, Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport (CCSIA) in Lucknow is preparing for a major runway expansion. The new plan involves extending the existing runway to accommodate wide-body aircraft, such as Boeing 777 and Airbus A350, enabling non-stop international flights to long-haul destinations.

The proposed runway extension will increase the current length of 2,743 meters to around 4,000 meters, a critical move to support heavy aircraft and higher traffic volume.
