The roots of Ayush Kumar’s vision trace back to his grandfather, Late Harinath Singh, a respected teacher from Chapra, Bihar. Known for his discipline and dedication, he inspired generations with his commitment to education. Following in his footsteps, Ayush’s father, Mr. Satyendra Kumar Singh, built an impressive career as an educator, serving as Chairman of Saryu Education Pvt. Ltd., Director of Arvind Public School, Headmaster of Rajkumari Girls High School, and Vice Chairman of the Bihar Madhyamik Teacher Association. His decades-long work has positively impacted countless students, ensuring that education remains a bridge to opportunity.

Ayush’s mother, Mrs. Ranju Kumari, complements this legacy as a primary teacher under the Bihar Government. Her nurturing presence at home and dedication in classrooms instilled the importance of compassion and service in her children. Inspired by this environment, Ayush and his siblings chose September 5, 2025—India’s Teachers’ Day—to establish Saryu Education Pvt. Ltd., paying tribute to their family’s educational roots.

Alongside Ayush Kumar, his sister Shiwani serves as Co-founder & Board Member, his brother Aman Chandel is the Chief Operating Officer (COO), and his sister Komal strengthens the enterprise as Legal Advisor.

The name “Saryu” combines the initials of their parents—Sa from Satyendra and Ryu from Ranju—and also symbolizes the Saryu River, representing the continuous flow of knowledge and learning. The company focuses on publishing tailored academic books and providing affordable stationery products such as notebooks, pens, pencils, sharpeners, erasers, maps, and geometry boxes, ensuring that financial constraints never hinder a child’s education.
